this is a very simple disco setup. only thing i didnt do was make a way to secure the sway-bay.
I got my stuff froms Lowe's so thats were the part numbers are from.
what you will need.
2 clevis pins 1/2x3 #138666 $2.82e = $5.64
1 bag of 1/8x2-9/16 hitch pins #163028 $1.06e = $1.06
4 1/2 flat washers #63309 $0.17e = $0.68
subtotal = $7.38
tax = $0.52
total = $7.90
step 1- unbolt your front swaybar from the axle.
step 2- push the metal sleave out of the swaybar link.
step 3- put a washer on one of the clevis pins.
step 4- put the clevis pin through the sleeve. this may take a hammer.
step 5- put the clevis pin with the sleeve on it through the swaybar link.
step 6- put the swaybar link back in place with the clevis pin through the whole.
step 7- slide another washer on the clevis pin, then put a hich pin in the closest hole.
step 8- Repeat step 1-7 on the other side.
I didnt take a pic of step 1 because it`s so simple.
Step 2
Clevis pin-Washer-Sleeve
Step 3
Step 4
Step 5
Step 6
Step 7
I just Made this setup today but so far it works really well.
Sorry some pics are blurry taken on a phone.

I did the same thing on my XJ. The parts wear down rather quickly. The pins bend and the head of the cotter pin begins to get really thin. It took a year or so before I had to replace of the parts. _________________ I hate signatures... Even this one. Oh ya, Greenamphibious sucks also. |

Looks good. Thank for the write up.
BTW...could you reduce the pic size a little. Would like to have them at 640 pixels, but 800 would do. If you need help with that, PM me your email address and I will grab them from here, resize them and email them to you. Thanks... |

What are sway bars? I had JKS quick discos on the one that came on mine, that was one of the first things to disappear, I haven't missed it once.

do they clunk or make any kind of noise at all on the street when you hit bumps or anything? _________________ The cake is a lie • Don't like me or what i said? Click here.

i'm curious to know how difficult it is to disconnect and reconnect while on the trail. i ask this because my JKS Quick Disconnects are a PIA to reconnect. one side of the sway bar (the whichever one you reconnect first) reconnects easily. the other side lines up but does not slip all the way down to where you can get the pin in. it takes a bfh to adjust it. _________________ http://www.myjeepspace.com/OneTufCJ |

Just put these on my XJ, they work great. Didn't even have to take the sleeve out of the bushing, took me maybe 10 minutes top... |

i took mine off when i put my lift on and found that my rear began shifting more. wwhen i will take a bump or change in road at an angle i can hear the rear axle shift almost as if the track bar pin was 1/8 inch smaller than it is. like the entire axle shifts and then shifts back. the sound remains even now after ive reinstalled my sway bar. i spend a couple night a week trying to figure it out. still havent. _________________ 2002 Sahara Wrangler

I put them on my XJ and they work well... Then the next day I just took the whole thing off. MUCH better. I haven't had a back one since I bought it a year or so ago, and I like it with both of them off. Good tip for those that like to keep'em on, though. Thanks. _________________ BeastN!Offroad
